Birds, Beans & Bay Windows

  • Poynette Village Hall 106 South Main Street Poynette, WI, 53955 United States (map)

Join us for free bird friendly coffee and chocolate tasting, plus talk about fall planting for birds and making windows safer for them as they migrate south. SOS Save Our Songbirds teams up with Columbia County Master Gardeners to bring you a timely and tasty evening! Sip delicious Barnwood Coffee roasted in Two Rivers and from Smithsonian Bird Friendly certified coffee farms are 100% organic and protect bird habitat. Savor chocolates from the world’s first Bird Friendly certified cacao farm, a bird sanctuary in the Dominican Republic. Learn what it means to be Bird Friendly certified and why that’s important for our birds busy migrating to Central and South America for winter.

Then, join in a discussion of fall planting for birds and see examples of window treatments to prevent birds from hitting your home windows. Together, we’re saving songbirds one yard, one cup of coffee and one window at a time!
