World Bird Migration Day: Bird Crafting for a Safer Migration

  • Sequoya Library 4340 Tokay Boulevard Madison, Wisconsin, 53711 United States (map)

Join us to celebrate World Bird Migration Day with a free crafty, artsy, creative project that does a lot of good! We’ll learn about ways to protect migrating birds from hitting windows, and get a blank fabric bird body to decorate to look like one of the birds that perished in an October 2023 in Chicago after hitting windows, or a bird of your own choosing. All completed birds will be sent to be part of a national art installation memorializing the October 2023 incident. Co-sponsored with Sequoya Library, Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance and the Textile Art Center of Madison.

This event is free but registration is requested to plan enough supplies. Register beginning Aug. 29 through this Sequoya Library event page.
